Slavery, Abolition and Seeking Freedom in Western Pennsylvania

This program is an overview of the slavery that existed in Western Pennsylvania before and after Pennsylvania passed the first Anti-Slavery law in the United States. The program also discusses the abolitionist movement in Western PA, and the Underground Railroad. This program is approximately an hour long.

The Battle of the Monongahela

A discussion of the Braddock Campaign, the officers and units involved and the decisive Native American and French Victory over a much larger British Army. This program is approximately an hour long.

The Monongahela Peoples

The “Monongahela” Peoples were a Native American group active in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, West Virginia, and Western Maryland. This program looks at the archaeological finds and discusses the digs and where these villages were found. This program is approximately an hour long.
